DARAH GARUDA is a movie to the second of a trilogy MERAH PUTIH. This film is a historical fiction which takes the guerrilla war in 1947 as an inspiration.
Filled with epic action taut and brilliantly photographed by talented actors on the boards of Indonesia, DARAH GARUDA film tells the experience.
Despite having different backgrounds and sometimes there are conflicts that sharpened because of differences in personality, social class and religion of the four young men were able to unite against the Dutch. They are united by a sense of nationhood and patriotism. Bravely they launched an attack on a Dutch prison camp, and managed to save the women they loved.
At one point, the cadets have received a highly classified assignment. To conduct commando-style attack in West Java, to storm a vital airfield against the tyranny that has been done General Van Mook on August 1947. When you're inside the forest, they met with another group which was the separatist group. This group could become a new ally of the cadets but also potentially have a traitor among them being the Dutch spy.
Surrounded, either by the enemy from outside and from inside, the warriors must unite and trust because they fought for one goal: independence of Indonesia.
